Fishing adventures have long been the trademark of our lodge. The French River is treated as one of the top Walleye producing waterways in the country.
The early season offers volumes of pike and walleye with late summer and spring bringing the added opportunity of large and small mouth bass. Throughout the summer and well into the late fall, trophy musky and pike invade the French River as our water temperature drops and provides ideal fishing environment.
Although, guides are not always required we strongly suggest hiring one as their knowledge of the waterway and fishing hotspots will maximize you fishing adventure. Guide will bait your line, operate the boat and take you directly to areas where you'll have the best chance of catching your trophy fish. Yes, they know where the fish are! We also offer guided protages to our five remote inland waterways. Our chief guide is Native American and his family has been at Sand Beach for over 50 years.
