Fishing adventures have long been the trademark of our lodge. The French River is regarded as one of the top waterways for walleye/pickerel in the country.
The early season offers plentiful pike and walleye with late summer and spring seeing the arrival of large and small mouth bass. Throughout the summer and well into the late fall, trophy muskie and pike invade the French River as our water temperature drops and provides the ideal fishing environment.
We recommend hiring one of our experienced fishing guides as their knowledge of the waterway and fishing hotspots will maximize your fishing adventure. The Guide will bait your line, operate the boat and take you directly to areas where you'll have the best chance of catching your trophy fish. Yes, they know where the fish are! We can also arrange for guided portages to a remote inland waterway.

Even if you have fished the French River before, you may not have caught what you had hoped for. Hiring one of our experienced guides either daily or weekly will make all the difference. Not only will they take you to the best fishing spots, they will show you the best way to fish for that trophy!
All of our guides are experts in the best bait, hooks and lures to use for the choice of fish you want to catch. They will definitely make your day a pleasant experience. If you are having a shore lunch, they will fillet your freshly caught fish, fry them to a crispy golden brown and serve them with bacon, fried potatoes, brown beans and plenty of freshly brewed coffee.
If you're looking for more adventure why not try a portage trip and visit a remote lake in the tranquility of the Ontario wilderness, where only but a few venture. You will leave the dock in the early morning with your guide, motor boat and canoe and visit those lakes that are just not accessible by any other means. Your catch is assured along with a great day of new experiences!
